Project Description

The site, a Major Development Opportunity site (MDO 90) is within a Conservation Area and comprises the Grade II Listed former Beaufort Institute that had been vacant since 2004. It is 0.2 hectares in size and is situated on the south side of Black Prince Road on the corner of Vauxhall Street and Sancroft Stret. The Albert Embankment and the River Thames are within 300 metres to the west.

The Institute buildings are retained for use by an order of Budhist monks and we have designed a contemporary high quality residential scheme on the remainder of the site.

Full Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent was secured for 75 dwellings in a stepped perimeter development rising from 4 and to 8 storeys and featuring a landmark 8 storey corner ‘tower’.
